I've 100% stopped buying anything in the US. Not that I don't like some people and places south of the border, but in order for this great country of ours to survive, I need to support my fellow Canadians with my purchasing power, however small. It will all add up with all of us doing the same. With all of us doing the same, it will make a difference!
Here's what I have done:
- I look at every label. If it says "made" or "packaged" or anything related to the US, I simply don't buy it.
- If I can't find a Canadian made alternative, I do without.
- I never used to post on social media, but the rhetoric and lies there is partly to blame for this mess, so I'm fighting back on social media with facts now.
- I refuse too go to the US for any reason now. Sorry family.
- I'm reaching out across Canada and internationally to find retail partners to expand my wholesale network to replace US sales.
- I'm letting suppliers of US products know that the current administration is to blame for me cancelling purchases, and that they should tell their administration their policies are hurting their business.
- I'm lobbying my US friends and family to Buy Canadian!
It's obvious, but here's what you should do:
- Buy Canadian!
- Cancel trips to the US
- Lobby your US friends and family to buy Canadian.
- Pound social media with truth and facts about how destructive the current administration is to not only Canada, but to their own people as well.
It's all listed on line and has been repeated thousands of times, but I'm doing it here again anyways.
We literally have the best country in the world. Let's all work together to keep it that way.
